The vice-president of the Memur-Sen Confederation, Mr. Esen, participated in the training organized by the National Union of Banking Executives and Technicians (SNQTB) in Portugal.
On this occasion, Vice-President M.Esen made a presentation on the Memur-Sen confederation: "Memur-Sen Confederation pursues its ideals of democracy, social justice and solidarity. In a globalized world, acting at the national level is no longer enough. We must act in solidarity so that workers around the world can learn about labour issues and their rights, organize and fight to obtain them and to respect them altogether, "he said.
In this perspective, Memur-Sen Confederation organized an international congress entitled "The Human, Labour and Global Competition" where 286 trade union leaders from 154 trade union confederations from 106 countries were present. In addition, at the centenary initiative of ILO on the future work, an international conference on "The Future of Work: Challenges and Opportunities" saw the participation of 13 regional organizations and more than 280 union leaders from 164 trade union delegations from 107 countries.
Memur-Sen is also setting up the training program in "International Trade Unionism and Social Policies". To date, four training programs have been completed, which has welcomed young trade unionists from around the world.
Returning to the importance of cooperation: "More than ever, trade union movements must redouble their solidarity, foster unity of action and converge with all forces on a global scale." he added.
