Memur-Sen Confederation to declare the demands of public servants for the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations for the year 2020 and 2021

Memur-Sen Confederation and its affiliated trade unions organized a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services to declare the demands of public servants for the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations for the year 2020 and 2021.
Confederation of Public Servants Trade Unions (Memur-Sen) and its affiliated unions have announced demands to improve the working conditions of public servants and increase on their salaries and others in front of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, in Ankara.
These demands were presented prior to their presentation to the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services in Turkey and the initiation of the fifth collective bargaining has started with the government with a view to determining the physical and social rights of public servants for the period 2020-2021.The collective bargaining negotiations are being conducted on behalf of 5 million public servants, including about 3 million in service and about 2 million retired public servants. Collective negotiations will continue until the end of August.
Mr. Ali Yalçın heads the delegation representing public servants as chairman of the largest trade union confederation of public servants. Memur-Sen consortium participates in the negotiations as authorized under the name of all public servants, while the unions affiliated with the Memur-Sen participate as trade unions in their service areas. Memur-Sen Confederation and its 11 authorized unions affiliated with it submitted its offers to the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services on 24 July 2019.Here is Memur-Sen’s demands for the upcoming 5th Term Collective Agreement
For the year 2020:
8% +7% raise and Inflation Difference, plus the welfare ratio by 3%.
For the year 2021:
6% +6% raise and Inflation Difference, plus the welfare ratio of 2%.
To pay the inflation differential immediately after its announcement without waiting for the end of the first quarter (six months) of the year.
Increase the collective bargaining reward for trade union members from 103 TL to 216 TL.
Rasie on lowest public servant salary: Single: from 3,334 TL to 4,793 TL, Married: from 3.852 TL to 5.498 TL
Raise on compensation pension,
Contracted workers to be tenured,
Eliminating injustice and low wages on overwork wages,
Increase on social assistances for public servants.
