Memur-Sen attended the Portugal’s SIMA’s 12th Statutory Congress

Memur-Sen Delegation led by its Vice-President Soner Can Tufanoğlu attented the Portugals’s SIMA’s - Sindicato das Industrias Metalúrgicas e Afins 12th Statutory Congress from December 20th till December 21st, in Lisbon.
Portugal’s SIMA’s - Sindicato das Industrias Metalúrgicas e Afins held its 12th Statutory Congress from December 20th till December 21st, in Lisbon, Portugal. The Congress started on the 20th December with the opening and welcoming session, and bodies’ election and ended on Saturday.
SIMA’s 12th Statutory Congress were held with the participation of Memur-Sen Vice President Soner Can Tufanoğlu and also labor movement representatives from different countries.
During the program, Soner Can Tufanoğlu met with Secretary General of SIMA José António Simões and congratulated him. Tufanoğlu extended his warm greetings and felicitations to the delegates and the participants and offered his wishes for the Congress all success.
During the visit, the delegations stressed the need to strengthen their cooperation at the bilateral level, in particular through the sharing of good practices and the exchange of feedback. Tufanoğlu also stressed SIMA’s commitment to worker’s welfare and your demands regarding fair wages in a decent work environment. He also said that the situation is not limited only to our countries. The advance of neoliberalism reaches all corners of the planet, and therefore, the struggle must be internationalist and solidary.”
