Memur-Sen delegation participated in the 2024 Paris Social Charter Meeting

Dr. Ahmet Gök, Deputy Chairman of Memur-Sen and Secretary-General of ILC, along with a delegation from Memur-Sen, participated in a significant event in Paris, hosted by the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of France (CESE), as part of the preparations for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This event, organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Paris 2024 Social Conditions Committee, marked an important step in the social dialogue mechanism. Various national and international institutions such as the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), French trade unions, International Employers' Organization (IOE), International Olympic Committee (IOC), and International Football Federation (FIFA) participated.
In the first part of the event, discussions focused on how the social dialogue mechanism operates towards the Olympic Games, what is being done and planned regarding the rights of workers during the preparation and execution of the games. The second part highlighted the efforts of international organizations in the context of social conditions and their contributions to future major events to be organized in the coming years.
