Memur-Sen Withdraws from Arbitration Board
01.09.25, Monday
Following the dispute arising from the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement, Memur-Sen President Ali Yalçın announced that the confederation has withdrawn from the Arbitration Board proceedings.
In a written statement shared on his social media account, President Yalçın stated:
"The 58 achievements we recorded in the Meeting Minutes during the Collective Bargaining process, which ended in disagreement, were voted on at the Arbitration Board. While our objections and insistence at the Board led to some positive steps, these measures do not resolve the underlying issues. Therefore, we have withdrawn from the Arbitration Board."
During the Board vote, the 58 articles agreed upon by both parties were approved. However, due to the government’s negative stance on critical matters such as the percentage-based raise, welfare allowance, base salary increase, and housing support, Memur-Sen’s authorized bodies decided to withdraw from the Arbitration Board.
