President of Memur-Sen Ali Yalçın: "Resistance Against Oppressors Will Continue"
23.04.25, Wednesday
Speaking at a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara against Israel's renewed attacks on Gaza, Memur-Sen President Ali Yalçın strongly criticized the global silence in the face of ongoing massacres. “The honor of Gaza will defeat Trump and Netanyahu,” he declared.
Yalçın emphasized that people once again took to the streets to denounce the brutal attacks.
“Once again, horrific massacres in Gaza have brought us to the streets. Our brothers and sisters are being killed even during sahur. The world is no longer shocked by these barbaric attacks during Ramadan. They have normalized the death of children,” Yalçın said, denouncing the 528-day-long siege and systematic destruction in Gaza.
Yalçın called on Islamic countries to take immediate action, warning that the threat will soon spread to the rest of the Muslim world. “We stand firmly with Gaza. We may have lost hope in the UN, the OIC, and the Arab League, but never in the brave people of Gaza,” he said. He also stressed that Israel’s next target, after Yemen, will be the broader Muslim community if left unchecked.
Urging Islamic nations to close all air, land, and sea routes to Israel and impose full embargoes, Yalçın demanded increased pressure on Egypt and Jordan to open aid corridors. He also called for global protests and legal actions, including the prosecution of Donald Trump at the International Criminal Court for his support of ethnic cleansing.
“We will keep filling the streets until justice prevails. We will continue to boycott genocide-supporting brands and raise our voices against this brutal order that turns victims into villains and vice versa,” Yalçın concluded.
