10.02.25, Monday
Vice President of Memur-Sen, Hamza Öksüz, participated in the 10th General Congress of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Belarus, where he spoke about the development of ILC, which has gained significant importance on the international stage.
Memur-Sen Vice President Hamza Öksüz attended the 10th General Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB) held in the capital, Minsk. He also met with FTUB President Yury Senko, expressing his gratitude to the FTUB family for their invitation.
Öksüz Emphasizes the Importance of International Solidarity
Expressing his gratitude to the FTUB family, Öksüz emphasized that "the importance of international solidarity is increasing day by day. As Memur-Sen, we highly value meeting with the unions we stand in solidarity with and believe that together, we can overcome many challenges. For this reason, we, as Memur-Sen, pioneered the establishment of the International Labor Confederation (ILC), which includes 33 confederations from 25 countries and represents 30 million workers. This organization continues to grow both qualitatively and quantitatively day by day and has gained a prominent status on the international stage. In this context, we recently organized the International Certificate Program on Institutional Capacity Development and Digital Transformation, with the participation of representatives from 25 confederations across 19 countries, and it received great attention."
Yury Senko, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Hamza Öksüz for his visit, saying:
"Like you, we also believe in the importance of international solidarity. There is always a need for such structures that enhance international solidarity. I thank you once again for this bold initiative."
At the end of the congress, Öksüz congratulated Yury Senko on being re-elected as the FTUB President.
