Memur-Sen Vice President Ahmet Gök attended the Congress of the UGL Railway Workers Union, in Italy.
Ahmet Gök attended the 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the UGL Railway Workers Union held in Pescara, where he addressed the participants. Emphasizing the significant role that railway workers have played in the technological and commercial development worldwide in the 20th century, Ahmet Gök expressed his pleasure at being present with them. He conveyed greetings from Memur-Sen's President, Ali Yalçın, and the entire Memur-Sen family to the participants and extended his best wishes for the success of the general assembly.
Ahmet Gök also highlighted the importance of strengthening relations between the two Mediterranean countries, Italy and Turkey, which share cultural and social similarities. He expressed his belief that in this era where international relations are increasingly important, it is necessary to elevate these long-standing connections to even higher levels. Gök also discussed the inequalities in the existing world order, pointing out that the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen, which puts a strain on human dignity. He emphasized that solidarity and unity are their only hope for a just and sustainable world order.
