Memur-Sen Delegation, led by its President Ali Yalçın to attend ILO’s 107th ILC Conference to represent Turkish labour group and to discuss labour questions

The member States of the ILO meet at the International Labour Conference, held every year in Geneva, Switzerland, in the month of June. This year’s ILO's Labour Conference was held from 28 May to the 8 June 2018. This year's session brought together over 4,000 delegates from around the globe to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world of work. In the ILC Conference, each member State is represented by a delegation consisting of two government delegates, an employer delegate, a worker delegate, and their respective advisers.
This year, President of Confederation of Public Servants Trade Union (MEMUR-SEN) Ali Yalçın was accredited as worker’s delegate of Turkey to represent labour group and to discuss labour questions. Hereby, Memur-Sen Delegation led by its President Ali Yalçın participated in the International Labour Conference and followed all committees concurrently throughout the Conference.Yalçın also delivered a speech at the Conference’s Plenary Session on 5 June 2018 (Tuesday) in response to the report of the Director-General of the ILO, Mr Guy Ryder. Yalçın’s speech outlined the efforts that Memur-Sen Confederation has taken to empower the rights of the public servants, including doubling The issue of sub-contracted workers in the public sector in Turkey. In addition, Yalçın highlighted the fact that the world is bigger than five and the labour is above the capital.As well as the committees and plenary session, Memur-Sen Delegation led by Yalçın had meetings with key figures of international labour organizations and his foreign counterparts throughout the International Labour Conference.
