Memur-Sen delegation to attend the 5th congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation

Memur-Sen delegation led by Ali Yalçın, President of Memur-Sen Confederation, attended the 5th congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
5th Congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation was held on 5-6 February in Baku, Azerbaijan. A delegation from the Memur-Sen Confederation led by its president, Ali Yalçın, and made up of its deputy president Mehmet Bayraktutar and international relations coordinator were in Baku, from February 5 to 6, 2018, on the occasion of the 5th congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC). Various trade unions representatives from the world also attended the congress.The president of the Memur-Sen Confederation, Ali Yalçın, gave an address at the congress. In his speech, President Yalçın referred to the significance of relations between brotherly two countries Turkey and Azerbaijan and its two brotherly confederations Memur-Sen and ATUC. He also noted that the role of the ATUC in protecting the socio-economic interests of trade union members is undeniable. Indicating that terror is the common problem of all countries Yalçın, "Therefore, we should take a more common attitude towards terrorism.” said. “Armenia should withdraw from Karabakh of Azerbaijan as soon as possible. One of the conditions for ensuring peace in the region is the end of this invasion.” Yalçın also mentioned.After speeches of representatives of various trade union confederations, the congress held elections to the governing bodies of the ATUC. Sattar Mehbaliyev was re-elected as the president of the ATUC.
