Memur-Sen held a press conference at the headquarters in which it is announced that Memur-Sen will contribute 2 million Turkish liras to campaigns to combat the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
NGOs in Turkey are launching a fundraising campaign to support coronavirus relief and to combat the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aid will be distributed to families who have lost their jobs or work as daily laborers by NGOs. At the same time, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday announced a nationwide fundraising campaign to help citizens financially affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
At press release held at the Memur-Sen Headquarters, it is announced that Memur-Sen will contribute 2 million Turkish liras to campaigns to combat the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We all should stand at the forefront of the battle against coronavirus.” said Memur-Sen President Ali Yalçın.
The COVID-19 disease that originated in Wuhan, China has infected more than 800,000 people worldwide, killing 36,000.
