Meeting between the President of the Republic and a Memur-Sen delegation

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a Memur-Sen delegation, led by its President Mr. Ali Yalçin and also consisting of the members of its Board of Directors and the presidents of the affiliated trade unions, was received at the Presidential Complex of Beştepe in Ankara.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin, the collective agreements for the 2022-2023 biennium were discussed.
After an overview of the expectations of public employees, pointing to the insufficient timeframe for negotiating collective agreements, Yalçın stressed the need to reform Law no:4688 in order to "promote a more strategic and effective social dialogue model " he said.
The Memur-Sen delegation also referred to the high expectations of public employees in terms of promotion and advancement procedures, strengthening the rules on health protection and responding to the wishes of civil servants in terms of geographical and professional mobility.
Expressing the wish for a more sustained cooperation concerning the expectations of civil servants, the members of the Memur-Sen delegation expressed their gratitude for the quality of the welcome they received from the President of the Republic.
