Ankara marches against terrorist Israel
13.11.23, Monday
After the Israeli terrorist organisation bombed the El-Ehli Baptist Hospital, which was home to thousands of people, Memur-Sen and many NGOs organised a protest march in Ankara. Making a statement to the press after the march, President Ali Yalçın said: "If we don't speak out, the massacre will continue there".
The inhumane attacks perpetrated by the assassin Israel in Palestine have caused concern among NGOs in Turkey. Numerous non-governmental organisations, including the Memur-Sen organisation, met in Ankara. A funeral prayer in absentia was held for the murdered Palestinians at the Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara before the protest march, in the presence of Memur-Sen President Ali Yalçın, Memur-Sen affiliated unions, the Board of Directors and many citizens. After the funeral prayer, hundreds of citizens protesting against Zionist Israel marched past Abdi İpekçi Park, chanting slogans. In his speech, President Ali Yalçın referred to the demonstrations held in many cities, including at the Israeli embassy in Ankara and the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, following the attack on the hospital by the killer Israel, and said, Greetings to the brave people who are reacting. Our duty is to support the struggle for the honour and life of our Palestinian brothers and oppressed people. The problem of the Palestinians is the problem of all humanity. Our brothers' property is being confiscated and their homes usurped. International law and international organisations exist to protect the rights of individuals and the security of property. "If international organisations do not play their part in a situation where such dishonourable behaviour is demonstrated and thousands of people are bombed, even hospitals, which are considered to be the safest places, what use are these organisations?" he said.
"Go with those who support you!"
Ali Yalçın said the Israeli embassy thanked the people, institutions and organisations that supported them by announcing it on its social network account and said, "I'm calling the Israeli embassy from here. Leave with those who support you! Those who have travelled from Turkey to Israel to fight and support the slaughter of humanity there should never be allowed to enter that country again. "When they do enter, they should be tried as war criminals", he declared.
Yalçın: We are facing a herd of murderers
Ali Yalçın said he believed wholeheartedly that human dignity, which emerges and responds in an environment where the oppressed are murdered, would defeat Zionism and said, "We live in a world where children are not safe. We are faced with a herd of murderers who consider that killing them is an act of dignity and struggle and ignore the laws of war. All the Western countries, from the United States to the United Kingdom, that support this oppression are dishonourable. The UN and all international organisations must remember the purpose of their existence and do what is necessary. Our struggle will continue until the oppression ends. No one should be discouraged or weary in this struggle. If we do not go to the squares, if we do not resist, if we do not raise our voices, people will continue to suffer massacres. That is why this resistance must continue and the surveillance must continue", he concluded his speech.
