"Long Live Solidarity"
Dr. Gök met with Secretary General Francesco Paolo Capone, who renewed his mandate at the general assembly, and Board Member responsible for Foreign Affairs Stefano Andrini, conveying congratulations and best wishes on behalf of Memur-Sen and ILC. During his meeting with Capone, Dr. Gök said, "As Memur-Sen and the International Labor Confederation (ILC), we want to re-evaluate bilateral cooperation opportunities and strengthen and expand communication in this regard. We believe that enhancing the solidarity between Turkey and Italy in the field of trade unions and bringing new momentum to the labor struggle is very important. Although countries, regions, and continents are different, the problems and demands of workers are similar. Therefore, we believe that the growth of our solidarity will open doors to significant developments for all workers."
Continuing his engagements in Italy, Dr. Gök, along with representatives from BMS Confederation, one of the largest labor organizations in India, and UGL, visited Matilde Celentano, the first female mayor of the city of Latina, and held consultations regarding the issues of working employees in the city.
