Memur-Sen Confederation participated in the 39th meeting of the EU-Turkey Joint Consultative Committee(JCC) gathered virtually in the midst of #Covid19.
The 39th meeting of the EU-Turkey Joint Consultative Committee(JCC) gathered virtually in the midst of #Covid19, to work on a wide range of issues including the latest situation on EU-Turkey relations, civil society organisations, the custom union and visa dialogue, re-energising EU-Turkey Relations during and post-pandemic period, the EU and its neighbours after the pandemic.
Durnig the meeting, “Organized civil society is a key player in the fight against the pandemic, as well as a key player in the recovery.”, Underlined the President of the Memur-Sen Confederation, Ali Yalçin.
On relations between the EU and Turkey, CCM members welcomed Turkey's ongoing efforts on the issue of migration, saying the challenge of migration in the Eastern Mediterranean should be jointly tackled by the EU and Turkey.
The EU-Turkey Joint Consultative Committee brought together 14 members of the European Economic and Social Council (EESC) and 26 members of organized civil society in Turkey.
