The 17th Europe Palestinians Conference: “With Unity and steadfastness, we shall return”
Soner Can Tufanoğlu, Vice President of the Memur-Sen Confederation, travelled to Copenhagen for The 17th Europe Palestinians Conference under theme of “with Unity and steadfastness, we shall return”. Some 15,000 Palestinian refugees, activists and NGO representatives from all around the world attended to the conference.
The conference has been convened in light of the great challenges facing the Palestinian people, including those living in Europe.
In the framework of solidarity, Memur-Sen delegation, composed of Mr. Soner Can Tufanoğlu, travelled to Denmark in Copenhagen for the 17th Congress of Palestinians in Europe where they met the principal leaders and collaborators organisation.
In his address, Mr. Soner Can Tufanoğlu said: " Memur-Sen Confederation, as the largest non-governmental organization in Turkey, has a responsibility to organized civil society. On the situation in the Palestinian territories, we have strongly denounced the massive human rights violations committed by the Israeli military occupation forces, calling on our members to show their solidarity with the people of Palestine. It is time that the Palestinian people get their freedom. We are determined to defeat the imperialist hegemonism that takes man and humanity into a violent, deadly and dehumanizing stalemate."
A series of seminars have also been held as part the conference about networking and partnership along with the creative and efficient strategies to speak up for the Palestinian cause.
