On the occasion of the celebrations for National Disability Week from May 10 to 16, Memur-Sen’s Disability Committee made a statement and highlighted the importance of the inclusion of people with disabilities in the #COVID-19 responses related to the World of Work.
On the occasion of the celebrations for National Disability Week from May 10 to 16, Memur-Sen’s Disability Committee made a statement and met online to discuss the importance of the inclusion of people with disabilities in the #COVID-19 responses related to the World of Work.
In its statement, the Disability Committee stressed the importance of empowering people with disabilities for the promotion of social justice and the inclusion of people with disabilities in a sustainable and inclusive manner.
The Committee agreed to declare a joint statement, calling on all actors to adhere to their obligations regarding the rights of people with disabilities

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are experiencing an exceptional situation which requires that we act and communicate differently from what we know.
Even today, people with physical disabilities face many challenges in building a truly inclusive and accessible society. People with disabilities face discrimination, and barriers to accessing public structures, employment.
Starting from the principle "disability should not be an obstacle", Memur-Sen Confederation has always defended the values and respect of people with disabilities. Numerous achievements have gained by the Memur-Sen Confederation in both the public and private sectors.
Memur-sen Confederation calling on all actors to act together, during the covid-19 crisis but also afterwards, to promote social justice and significantly include people with disabilities and to adhere to their obligations regarding the rights of people with disabilities
